Understanding your ‘gait’ (the way you walk or run) is a key part of being able to provide an effective solution to suit your active lifestyle. Here at Orthotic Active, we can analyse the way you walk or run and suggest a great solution to aid your mobility.
Based on the analysis of your movement (biomechanics), we can then create a pair of custom designed 3D insoles to help correct your gait pattern, making your movement more efficient and less painful.
The great thing is that you can undergo biomechanical analysis right here at Orthotic Active. With our state-of-the-art Gait Lab technology, we simply need you to walk (or run) across what looks like a simple mat on the floor.
But it is not just any mat!
It is actually a force plate combined with two high speed cameras that record up to 500 frames per second. It analyses the exact movement of your feet and how they align with the rest of your body when you move. Based on that analysis, we can create a custom insole engineered specifically for your feet and your feet alone.
3D printing is no longer in the realm of science fiction, but it is helping healthcare surge forward in leaps and bounds, just like your sporting performance could!
3D printed insoles are made from high grade ultralight Polyamide and are designed to last 3 times longer than conventional orthotics. They are designed around the 10 anatomical zones of your foot, each printed in a specific direction to correct your gait pattern. Each zone is printed at a different stiffness of rigidity according to your feet and the desired outcome, which makes them totally unique to you.
The insole itself is manufactured on a multi directional 3D laser printer in Belgium. The technology is so advanced that there are currently only 3 of these printers worldwide! The distance does not equal a delay though. Your insoles will be available in New Zealand in just over 2 weeks from your appointment.
Traditional insoles may not provide suitable support to correct the gait issues you are experiencing. That is where 3D printed insoles really prove their worth. You are not reliant on a range of pre-created products. They are printed specifically for your foot and are designed to give you the support where you need it most, and they are 3 times more durable than conventional insoles.
3D printed soles give us the ability to add more components to a single insole. That means we can support multiple pressure points at once. The extra support can help existing injuries heal quicker, or help you to avoid injuries full stop.
Because these slim fitting insoles are made just for you, they will be the most comfortable insoles you will ever wear! Meaning you can have the freedom to complete any activity you want. There is no need to worry about what you will feel like tomorrow, next week, or next year. Their slim fit design means they will fit most shoe types, to ensure you will have the right support, no matter where you are.
If you need a second pair, they can be created without delay and without discrepancy – an exact match every time.
