Emma graduated with a BSc in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Strathclyde University in Scotland. She began her career in Orthotics within the National Health Service and aided the development of multidisciplinary treatment by specialising in diabetes and neurology.
Her personal interests lie in neurology, biomechanics and musculoskeletal foot and ankle conditions. Being involved in a UK driven incentive to upskill Orthotists in assessment and diagnosis of these conditions has enhanced this passion further.
Subsequently this has been developed throughout the Orthotic Centre NZ. She combines this knowledge with high end technology to fabricate a variety of quality orthoses for both adults and paediatrics.
She enjoys sports rehabilitation due to her own interests in tennis, football and athletics and uses her clinical knowledge to her advantage within this field. Her own satisfaction comes from using evidence based orthotic treatment as well as reiterating the importance of other treatment protocols for the holistic management of each individual. Therefore increasing the chance of them achieving their goals and more.
